Welcome to WWGNZ
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Women Who Game New Zealand ("WWGNZ") Discord community. By joining our server, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Eligibility
WWGNZ is a community specifically for women and gender-diverse gamers in New Zealand. To join, you must:
- Identify as a woman or gender-diverse person
- Meet Discord's minimum age requirements (13 years or older, or the minimum age in your country)
- Complete our verification process
- Agree to follow our community guidelines
Community Guidelines
To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, all members must:
- Be Respectful: Treat all members with kindness and respect. Harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Keep It Safe: Do not share personal information about yourself or others. Protect your privacy and the privacy of fellow members.
- No Hate Speech: Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, and other forms of hate speech are strictly prohibited.
- No NSFW Content: Keep all content appropriate and safe for work. No explicit, violent, or disturbing content.
- No Spam or Self-Promotion: Avoid excessive self-promotion, advertising, or spam without moderator approval.
- Follow Discord's Terms: Adhere to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.
Verification Process
WWGNZ is a verified community. This means:
- New members must complete a verification process before gaining full access
- Verification helps us maintain a safe space for our community
- False information during verification may result in removal from the community
- Verification information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
User Conduct
As a member of WWGNZ, you agree not to:
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Engage in illegal activities or encourage others to do so
- Attempt to circumvent our moderation or verification systems
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
- Share invite links without moderator permission
Moderation
Our moderation team works to keep WWGNZ safe. We reserve the right to:
- Remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines
- Issue warnings, mutes, kicks, or bans at our discretion
- Modify or update these Terms and community guidelines as needed
- Make final decisions on all moderation matters
If you disagree with a moderation decision, you may appeal through our designated channels.
Intellectual Property
The WWGNZ name, logos, and branding are our property. You may not use our branding without permission. Content you share in our community remains yours, but you grant us permission to display it within our Discord server.
Disclaimer
WWGNZ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are a volunteer-run community and cannot guarantee:
- Uninterrupted access to our Discord server
- That all content will be appropriate or accurate
- Protection from all harmful interactions
We encourage members to report any concerns to our moderation team promptly.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WWGNZ and its moderators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our community.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify members of significant changes through our Discord server. Continued use of our community after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Termination
You may leave our community at any time by leaving the Discord server. We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
